The Best Shared Screen Release You Have Likely Not Tried Arrives to Switch
The Wizard of Legend Sequel, a procedurally-generated journey featuring sorcerers striving to achieve status as renowned heroes, is coming to Nintendo Switch in the coming weeks. It will be playable November 25, offering fans of local multiplayer games another opportunity to explore one of this year's top-tier releases in its class.
A Challenging Start
The Wizard of Legend Sequel took the roadmap of numerous under-the-radar games. The development team launched it in early access in the fall of 2024 on Windows PC, prior to publishing it completely, together with PlayStation 5 and Xbox iterations, in June 2025. Upon release, it faced heavy criticism. Just 29 percent of its audience ratings were favorable. Its player reviews on Steam were "varied", drawing from almost 2,000 assessments, with a lot of gamers critiquing the general lack of polish and abundance of technical issues upon release. Those on consoles also lambasted that the cooperative mode, a key feature for the game, mostly failed.
Steady Enhancements
But as with numerous early access titles that release in imperfect forms, Wizard of Legend II has been shaping up. Over the past few months, the creators have deployed several fixes designed to resolve these problems. After playing Wizard of Legend II to a greater extent than every other recent title in the current year, one can assert it's a bit more functional relative to at launch (for Xbox, at least). It has reached the point where nine times out of ten, I can actually get a multiplayer game to operate. Quite an improvement!
Once It Operates, It Shines
Moreover once The Wizard of Legend Sequel functions, it works. Using an isometric view, you fight through elemental-themed dungeons by casting spells in action-oriented mechanics. A great deal of sprinting, lots of dodging, lots of handling spell delays. This game is incredibly rapid and remarkably inventive; through blending your spells with a friend's, you can create powerful synergies.
Switch Version Information
Although the Switch version hasn't been extensively tested, one should consider Nintendo's famously strict guidelines for certification for Switch games. Its creators mentioned via an announcement that the Nintendo release of The Wizard of Legend Sequel features all updates that have been applied this year.
